The New York State Fair is bringing back an old favorite to its free concert lineup.
Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will perform at Chevy Court on Monday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. The concert is free with admission to the 2024 NYS Fair.
It will be the 14th time that Herman and his Hermits will perform at the Fair. The group is best known for ‘60s pop hits like “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “A Kind of a Hush” and “I’m Henry the VIII I Am.”
“Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone is a show that fairgoers rave about year after year. Peter’s stage presence is incredible, but more than that, I think it’s because these songs are timeless and apply to people of all ages,” said Fair Director Sean Hennessey. “It’s so fun to look out into the crowd and see that everyone in the audience knows the words. When you can bring generations together like Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits, you deserve a reoccurring spot in The Fair’s musical line-up!”
Four concerts have been announced so far for the NYS Fair’s 2024 lineup. More performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2024 New York State Fair will run from Aug. 21 through Sept. 2. National acts are expected to perform daily on the fair’s main stages; shows at Chevy Court will take place at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., while the larger Suburban Park will feature shows at 8 p.m. (There will be no afternoon shows at Suburban Park this year.)
