Syracuse, NY -- A Syracuse landlord whose properties have poisoned at least 16 children with lead paint is now selling off his properties in an attempt to “run away” from responsibility, the state Attorney General has charged in court papers.

So far, William D’Angelo, 76, of Liverpool, has sold off eight of his Syracuse properties while under scrutiny in recent years for 336 lead-paint safety violations at numerous properties, the AG said. Of those he’s sold, four had ongoing lead violations.
